Jorge is an industral Engineer with 20yrs experience in industrial development in different parts of the world particularly in Asian tigers. He has worked in different export processing and Special Economic Zones. He has served in various capacities; He has worked as an Administrative Assistant manager. In this role, he helped determine legal status of the designated economic zone for industrial development and description of administrative responsibilities, recommending necessary regulations to governments for administration of the industrial establishments. He is familiar with both national legal system and international administrative arrangements for industrial zones. As Zoning expert, he looks at the overall situation in a zone proposal and recommends for the appropriate sites for industrial spaces based on joint consensus with Demand Analysts and identifying any necessary follow up actions and providing guidance on likely overall zoning in terms of residential, commercial and amenity location within the Zones. He has worked as a Demand Analyst Consultant who considers likely demand for industrial space including market demand, potential export demand and areas of present and future competitive advantage with particular emphasis on construction materials. He has worked as a Social Impact Consultant experienced in Social Impact Assessment, particularly in resolving issue involved with land occupation. He has worked as an Environmental Consultant who identifies consequences of industrial development with particular experience in matters pertaining the sustainability. Generally, he has been contracted to help advice governments and institutions on matters economic development. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Economics from Egerton University (Kenya), A Master of Science in Corporate Finance (from Witwatersrand University SA) , A post graduate diploma in Manufacturing systems and Master of science in Industrial Engineering (from Jiantong University, shanghai China). He has worked in many parts of the world, setting up Special Economic Zones, Export Processing Zones ,Free zones ,Industrial parks and individual industries. He is, a very experienced engineer in establishing industrial systems and working with global financial institutions. Jorge serves as the Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director, Alaba Afropolis. He is charged with the task of leading a team of local and international experts to transform this dream inro a smart City in a record 4year. The City is both smart and Eco, all fused into one to provide livelihood to over 2 million inhabitants whist serving an impressive 3,500 international brands.
